The previous record was held by Rickey Lumpkin, a chef from California, who cooked for 68 hours in 2018. Chef Maliha began her marathon cooking session on Friday August 2019 at 10.00a.m at the kenya Bay Beach Resort in Mombasa. She cooked a variety of dishes during the 75-hour period, including biryani, pilau, chapati, and other traditional Kenyan dishes. The event took place at Chef Maliha's Kitchen, her restaurant in Mombasa, and was attended by a large number of people who came to witness the historic moment. Chef Maliha was supported by a team of assistants who helped her with the preparation and cooking of the food.
